Future Machine: A call out for animations that imagine the future

A BANG / White Night collaboration

During the night of Saturday 24th October animations will be projected directly onto the Brighton Unitarian Church for 2009’s White Night festival.

The theme of the Festival is FORTUNE and the Brighton Animator’s Network Group are looking to the future for inspiration. How do you imagine what is to come? What does the future mean to you? All interpretations are welcome.

You are free to transform, re-imagine and make over the façade of the Unitarian Church in any style you choose – computer animation, experimental film making, motion graphics, collage, stop-motion animation, generative art- whatever you can imagine. It is a chance for animators, film-makers and artists to transform public spaces with their work and beam their visions onto the walls of the city.

All you need do is download the template of the building front from the Future Machine website and start animating. We will accept Quick Time files (1024 x 768) that run between 10 seconds and a minute. Looping visuals are entirely acceptable, obscene material is not!

Entries must be received by the 10th October and all entries that accord with the submission guidelines will be projected on the night between the hours of 7-10.30pm and 12-2am.
The White Night festival is led by Brighton & Hove Arts Commission and the City Council working with partners across the city.
